YOUNG PROFESSIONAL NETWORK
HABITAT NEWS
Habitat has been very supportive of professional development and involvement in the Young Professional’s Network is no different. The REINT – Young Professionals Network (YPN) is a newly formed group within the real estate profession’s Peak Industry organisation to which Jess from Habitat is the inaugural chair and Steph is the Vice Chair.
It is aimed at young real estate professionals aged 35 and under who want to further their careers through professional training and enhanced social and business networks. But the YPN stretches beyond the boundaries of the real estate profession. It welcomes all young professionals with a connection to, or an interest in, the real estate profession.
Its aim is to help young professionals through a myriad of professional development, ranging from training to guest speakers, access to senior mentors and special deals on conferences and events. However life is not all about work. The YPN plans to have a strong social platform with fun events designed to help young professionals expand their social networks and enjoy the company of other like minded YP’s.
STARLIGHT FOUNDATION
Habitat Real Estate has been involved with Starlight Day and the Starlight cause for many years now. Our involvement not only includes attendance and sponsorship of the Annual Starlight Ball but also time donated to staff attendance and participation in Starlight Day. Our team LOVE to be involved with such a great charity and have been lead by our fabulous previous staff member (and Starlight committee member) Kaye Gwyther.
Habitat also encourage our owners and tenants to donate to the cause yearly, facilitating in donations from rental payments making such deductions easy for owners.
CONFERENCES
Habitat staff are encouraged for continual professional development with staff rewarded with conferences that relate to real estate and property management. Last year we had attendance at both ARPM in Sydney, LPMA in the Gold Coast and more recently PMC on the Gold Coast. All of our trips brought back with them plenty of knowledge, reinvigorated motivation and of course a few sore heads after the great Gala Balls!
